Michel DominicéDr Michel Dominicé – Partner

Dr Michel Dominicé founded Dominicé Asset Management in 2003, which became Dominicé & Co - Asset Management when his cousin Jean-Evrard Dominicé joined as a partner in February 2004.

Michel Dominicé attended the University of St. Gallen (Switzerland) from 1986 to 1995 and obtained a degree in economics in 1991, followed by a Ph.D. in economics in 1995. He is a CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) charterholder and member of the CFA Institute. In 1993 he worked at the National Bank of Romania in Bucharest to prepare his doctoral thesis on the Romanian monetary policy. He joined Lombard Odier & Cie in 1994 with research internships in Geneva and London, with Merrill Lynch in New York, with Long Investment Management and CLSA Global Emerging Markets, both in Hong Kong. In 1998 he joined the Institutional Asset Management team of Lombard Odier & Cie in Geneva, Switzerland (known as Lombard Odier Darier Hentsch & Cie since 2002) as an equity investment manager and became head of the US and Global Equity team overseeing approximately CHF 2 billion in equity investments.

Jean-Evrard DominicéJean-Evrard Dominicé – Partner

Jean-Evrard Dominicé joined his cousin Michel Dominicé in February 2004 to create Dominicé & Co - Asset Management.

Jean-Evrard Dominicé trained at the University of St. Gallen (Switzerland) from 1992 to 1997 obtaining a degree in business administration. He joined SBC Warburg (now UBS Investment Bank) as an analyst in their capital markets department in 1997. Credit Suisse First Boston hired Jean-Evrard as an associate of their London based European Equity sales operations in 1999. In 2001 he was promoted Vice President and was in charge of selling CSFB's European small and mid caps research to top tier UK and US institutions such as Fidelity, Capital International, American Century, Hendersons, Gartmore. Jean-Evrard Dominicé is a CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) charterholder and member of the CFA institute.

Boris GrouxBoris Groux, Investment Manager

Boris Groux joined Dominicé & Co – Asset Management in September 2007 to manage The Meropa Fund launched by the company in December of that same year.

Boris Groux graduated in 1997 from EDHEC, Lille with a major in finance. All his professional experience is related to the trading and management of derivatives in shares, credit instruments and bonds with Société Générale, Paris (1998 to 2000), Axa Investment Manager, Paris (2001 to 2003) and Avendis Capital, Geneva (2004 to 2007). Amongst others, Boris Groux launched and managed for AXA in 2001 a volatility arbitrage fund trading convertible bonds which reached a market capitalization of € 300 million. With Avendis, he was responsible for the trading on own account of share derivatives and for the arbitrage of volatility of convertible bonds and warrants.

Pierre Cloux – Advisor, Swiss Equity Discovery Fund

Pierre Cloux teamed-up with Dominicé & Co – Asset Management in October 2007 with whom he launched in January 2008 the Swiss Equity Discovery Fund, a Swiss registered investment fund.

Pierre Cloux acts as an adviser to the fund manager, Dominicé & Co – Asset Management, but thanks to his long experience in this field he assumes an important role in the fund’s strategic management and in the choice of investments.
Pierre Cloux has extensive experience in the sales and the research activities of listed Swiss companies. His previous appointments in this area were: Director Swiss Equities at Berenberg Bank, London (2004 to 2007), Head Swiss Equity Sales & Trading at CAI Cheuvreux, London and Zurich (2003 to 2004), Director Pan European Small Mid Cap Team with Credit Suisse First Boston (Europe), London (1998 to 2003), Director Swiss Equities at Schroder Salomon Smith Barney, London (1995 to 1998) and Senior Vice-President Investment Advisor Swiss Equities at Lombard Odier & Cie, Geneva (1987 to 1995).
During these years, he gained extensive knowledge of the economic fabric of Switzerland and of the management of the Swiss companies listed on the stock exchange. His knowledge is a major asset to the fund which invests in companies the market misunderstands or undervalues. The fund is expected to significantly outperform the market indices.
Pierre Cloux began his professional career in 1974 with Credit Suisse which he left in 1987 after positions in Lausanne, Zurich and New York.
He is a member of the Swiss Association of Financial Analysts since 1991.

Vincent Steck – Director

Vincent Steck joined Dominicé & Co – Asset Management in November 2006 to assume the role of Executive Director, Compliance Officer and Head Prevention Money Laundering.

He obtained a law degree (University of Berne, 1971) and MBA Insead (1974). Vincent Steck followed a banking career with JP Morgan from 1975 to 1990 in Zurich, New York and Geneva in Corporate Banking, Investment Banking and Private Banking. Banque Financière de la Cité in Geneva from 1990 to 1993.
From 1993 to 1996, Vincent Steck managed as a Director the two holding companies of the Edmond de Rothschild group which controlled the family’s direct investments in banking, finance, real estate, tourism and wine-making.
In 1997, Vincent Steck set-up Kanz Bank Geneva, a new Swiss based bank, and managed it as its Chief Executive Director until 2003. This private banking structure was designed to manage the financial assets of an important member of the Saudi royal family. To-day, Vincent Steck acts also as an independent consultant to two family-offices.
